How to Log-In to Blackboard
Blackboard Log-In Troubleshooting 1. It can be a simple typo or Caps lock button. This is the error message given when the username and/or password is not found in Blackboard: Could not login. Valid authentication credentials were not provided. 2. Cookies have to be enabled. Please check this by going to the following menu: In a window of Internet Browser, Go to the TOOLS Menu and select Internet Options. Then click the Privacy tab. Make sure this is set to Medium or lower. Then click Apply and then OK. This is typically the error message you get for this: An error occurred in the authentication module: Error occurred while trying to lookup the current session. 3. If you get this error message (No authentication credentials were provided with the request.) This is caused by an incorrect security setting on your computer. You will need to activate "Active Scripting" on your computer within Internet Explorer. To do this: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab. Click on the "Internet Zone" icon (the globe). Click on the "Custom Level" button at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down the page until you see the "Scripting" section. Be sure that "Active Scripting" is enabled.
