Congratulations on beginning your online learning journey with NEFEC! You have registered and remitted payment for your training and received the Getting Started emails from NEFEC's staff with login information. With your login username and password handy, follow these steps to get started!

STEP 1: Connect to NEFEC's Blackboard site at http://bb8.nefec.org and click the User Login button.

STEP 2: Type your username into the Username field and your password into the Password field. Click Login.

STEP 3: Upon successful login, the My NEFEC Blackboard student portal page will appear with a greeting (i.e. “Welcome, test ”). Find your course in the My Courses section and click on the course link.

STEP 5: Read the Getting Oriented to Blackboard announcement, then familiarize yourself with course structure and navigation by exploring the course menu to the left of the screen.

STEP 6: Begin Week 1 lessons and assignments, located in the Course Content area of Blackboard.

IMPORTANT: If this is your first time in a NEFEC distance learning course, be sure to change your Blackboard login password by clicking on the tools button within the course website and then selecting the Change Password link.

Backing-Up Work: As with all your course work, please be sure to save an extra copy on a back-up disk, CD, or drive!
