Topics covered include: background and requirements of the 1990 ESOL Agreement; evaluation of ESOL instructional strategies in the classroom; understanding of the major cultural groups represented in the local school district in order to meet the needs of LEP students within the context of a multicultural student population; and creating a positive and supportive environment to accommodate diverse learners.
