It is with great pride that we share with you that not 1 but 2 Levy County PBS Model Schools were selected this year for recognition!
Flagler Elementary Schools Implement RTI for 2009-2010
Early on, Flagler County embraced the concept of RtI. In the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007, we participated in a series of trainings sponsored by the P. K. Yonge Center in Gainesville to help us better understand the concept of RtI and develop an implementation plan.

The Gilchrist County Practical Careers Academy was featured at the 2008 ISRD Mid-Year Institute for ESE Administrators. Originated in the 2005-2006 school year in collaboration with Dr. Rick Casey, DOE Consultant, the academy opened at Bell Middle/High School in 2006-2007.

Also, at the 2008 ISRD Mid-Year Institute for ESE Administrators, Levy County ESE Director Rosalind Hall presented what Levy County is doing to address the need for transition services. A sample of the Transition Portfolio devised by Levy County was displayed on the Institute’s "Walk of Fame."
