NEFEC's Early Reading First project REACH featured in documentary
Emily Hanford from American RadioWorks, public radio's largest documentary production unit, visited River Breeze Elementary School in Palatka, FL during the 2008-09 school year to look at an exceptional preschool program for children at risk. The documentary she created, entitled Early Lessons, takes a look back to the Perry Preschool Project in 1962 and the impact it had on impoverished African-American children who attended the program.
She jumps to the present and highlights the efforts of NEFEC’s Early Reading First project REACH:
