Program Administrator, ISRD

I am the Program Administrator for the Institute for Small and Rural Districts (ISRD) project. ISRD is a discretionary project funded by the Department of Education under the Bureau of Exceptional Student Education (BESE). The Institute for Small and Rural Districts (ISRD) provides training and technical assistance to approximately 50 small and rural districts across the state of Florida with the intent on building educators’ capacity and improving student achievement. ISRD works directly with district and school-based administrators to implement the Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA) regulations and the Florida State Performance Plan (SPP). Working in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education and the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEES), the goal of the ISRD project is to enhance overall services to students with disabilities and those at risk to increase student performance.

Education: M.Ed.-Educational Leadership, 2011, University of North Florida; Bachelor of Arts- Elementary Education, 1999, University of North Florida

Experience: 16 years of experience in Clay County as a teacher; 7 years of experience in Clay County as a school-based administrator
