This training will provide a basic understanding of:
- The structure of the relationship between the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and the Florida Department of Education (FDOE)
. How to access dollars available through the Medicaid Fee for Service reimbursement program
. New Medicaid policies, expanding the types of services which can be billed by districts
• Rules related to notifying parents and obtaining consent to use their children's insurance
. The process to obtain reimbursement through Medicaid administrative claiming
. FDOE systems and supports to assist in billing fee for service and administrative claiming
Sample billing scenarios will be reviewed and discussed with a focus on maximizing recoupment of funds.
