Citizen Projet II Paper Handling

Standard Feeder: 70-sheet auto sheet feeder

Using the built-in sheet feeder:

  1. Move the lower lever (B) on the front of the printer to the right to release the lateral guides which keep the paper centered.
  2. Lower and move to the left the upper lever (A) to open the paper tray.
  3. Pull out the extendible rear guide on the paper tray to simplify paper loading.
  4. Fan the paper thouroughly.
  5. Load the paper in the tray, pushing it carefully until stops against the feed rollers inside the tray.
  6. Position the rear guide against the rear edge of the paper.
  7. Once you have inserted the paper, move the lower lever (B) on the front of the printer to the left to close the lateral guides and center the paper.
  8. Move the upper lever (A) to the right and raise it.

Citizen Projet II Settings

To access the set-up selectors (dip switches), open the top cover of the printer and the selector cover. On the inside of the top cover, there is an engraved template which indicates the parameter assigned to each selector. The default factory settings are all switches set to off (down).

To redefine the programmable parameters using the printer set-up procedure, the printer must be switched off. Once you have completed the selection of the parameter values you require, close the selector cover and the top cover, then switch on the printer.

The 33 selectors are assigned to the programmable parameters singly, or in some cases, in groups. From the left, the selectors are grouped as follows:

Selecting the default font:

The first 6 selectors define the print font to be used. When selecting a resident font other than the default (Courier), ONLY the specific selector should be raised, the other 5 must all remain down.

Selecting Print Attributes and other features:

The features assigned to selectors A to N, engraved on the inside of the front cover, are the alternative parameter values (they are the values implemented when the corresponding selector is set to ON.

The implementation of parameters A, B, and C will depend on the font selected with the first six selectors. For example, if the Times Nordic font is selected, the selection of landscape will be ignored since the Times Nordic font is only available in portrait.
