Randy LaRusso, Project Manager for Project ACCESS, a Florida Department of Education discretionary project, in partnership with FDLRS/NEFEC, will provide training for teachers of students using ACCESS Points in inclusionary, general education settings. This training will be appropriate for general education teachers that do, or may have, a student on ACCESS points in their classrooms, ESE teachers that collaborate with those general education teachers to provide services for students on ACCESS points, staffing specialists and administrators.
As a result of this training, participants will:
• Know where to find resources and supports for the teaching and learning of Florida Standards Access Points
• Understand Florida’s model of access to the standards for Students with a Significant Cognitive Disability (SwSCD)
• Explore online resources for the teaching and learning of Access Points and how the resources work together for planning and implementing lesson.
Please bring your fully charged laptop to the training.
Subs will be reimbursed by the ACCESS Project.
