Rural Connect sessions are regional learning communities of educators within the NEFEC districts. These educators attended the NEFEC Summer Literacy Institute in 2021. In this series of events, teachers drive their own professional learning with a focus on literacy. Sessions will incorporate technology, cross-curricular connections, B.E.S.T. standards, data, and research- based instructional practices.
Participants are expected to bring completed implementation from SLI to session 1.
Implementation of your new learning will be supported through the NEFEC PLuS structure. This structure provides opportunities for collegial feedback during the implementation phase of the professional learning. While PLuS provides many options for your implementation and support structures, you must complete at least PLuS Level 1 at the conclusion of each face-to-face session in order to be awarded in-service points.
