Initial Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training is two parts.
Part I will be completed online. This self-paced course is estimated to be: 2.5 hours . You must complete Part I two business days prior to attending session II.
Part II will be completed face to face at a location designated by your district. The training is typically scheduled for a full day with a 1 hour break for lunch. The classroom portion is 6.5 hours. Please dress comfortably and wear closed toed shoes.
Once you have enrolled in the course, a CPI book will be provided to you by your school district office. Please take notes in this book and bring it with you to part II. Please do not write on or take your test. Your test will be provided and completed in person.
Once you receive an email from NEFEC to confirm you have been approved for the course, you will be enrolled in Part I through CPI. Please look in your email for an email from CPI.
