ESOL Basic for Practitioners is a 20-hour course that fulfills the Florida Department of Education's ESOL requirement for non-instructional support personnel, including: occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech/language pathologists. The course was designed to help practitioners understand the complexities of the educational environment for the English language learner with an emphasis on providing participants with some basic knowledge of how language can be supported and encouraged during treatment as well as instruction.

This is a self-paced, non-facilitated course. The course is completely online and requires no face-to-face meetings or specific dates/times required to be online.

There is a one-week cancellation period during which participants can withdraw from this training without penalty and receive a full refund. Cancellations can be requested anytime but refunds will only be given if one cancels within 1 week of receiving log-in information for the course. If you wish to cancel your registration, please send an email to your instructor or elearning@nefec.org with your request for a refund by the 7th day after log-in information is sent. Refunds will only be done for "no-show" participants if requested and fall within the one-week cancellation period.
