This workshop provides a comprehensive, structured approach to developing high-quality
Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements and IEPs for
students working on Access Points.
Participants learn to move from classroom data to a cohesive, instructionally relevant IEP using
six key practices.
Key Components:
Page One & Special Considerations - Understanding communication, behavior, sensory needs, and assistive technology.
PLAAFP Development - Writing clear, measurable, data-anchored statements.
Goal Writing - Creating standards-aligned, Access Point appropriate annual goals.
Objectives & Benchmarks - Breaking goals into measurable steps for progress monitoring.
Participants leave with a repeatable process, practical tools, and examples that strengthen IEP quality and consistency.
