In this session, participants will be exposed to "best practices" and resources related to the teaching of Algebra 1. Effective instruction in mathematics is a balance of problem solving, computational and procedural skills, and conceptual understanding. Participants will be actively involved in all aspects of the training and are encouraged to bring FSA standards-based lessons to share. They will discuss strategies to address changes in math graduation requirements, enhancements to Khan Academy Coaching Tools, and other pertinent information related to Algebra 1 instruction. This professional development opportunity will provide a forum for the sharing of resources, ideas, and curriculum planning.
